Baiyun industrial economy strong in Q1

Baiyun district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, made great economic achievements in the first quarter of this year.

Statistics from the Baiyun industry and information technology bureau reveal that from January to March, Baiyun started construction on six new industrial projects and completed 1.45 billion yuan ($217.55 million) in industrial investment.

Its industrial investment saw a year-on-year increase of 275 percent, 21 percentage points higher than the target set by Guiyang for the district.
