An edible mushroom industrial chain has taken shape in Niuchang township in Baiyun district, administrated by Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province.
From mushroom variety cultivation and planting to deep processing and marketing, Niuchang township has introduced professional enterprises in charge of each link.
Baiyun Jinxiangyuan Industrial Co is a typical example of edible mushroom production.
It has invested around 13 million yuan ($1.95 million) to build 60 mushroom greenhouses in Niuchang township's Xiaoshan village since 2019.
In recent years, through technological innovation, the company's greenhouses have realized that fresh mushrooms can be picked year-round and their daily mushroom output has reached 3 metric tons.
The 60 greenhouses produced more than 700,000 strains of mushrooms last year.
