Baiyun sets up five-year industrialization plan

Baiyun district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, will advance a new type of industrialization and make breakthroughs in industrial volume, structure and benefits in the following five years.

According to the plan, by 2025, Baiyun is expected to achieve a total industrial output value of 50 billion yuan ($7.50 billion) and an industrial investment of 42 billion yuan.

The total number of industrial enterprises above designated size in Baiyun – those with an annual revenue of 20 million yuan or more – will reach 180 by 2025, and the city will also add new standard workshops covering 1.15 million square meters and develop 3,000 mu (200 hectares) of land for industrialization.

Over the same period, Baiyun will strive to increase the proportion of industrial added value of the regional GDP, the proportion of manufacturing in the industrial industries above designated size, and the proportion of high-tech manufacturing in the industrial industries above designated size, so as to ensure that the average output value per mu in industrial parks will reach 5 million yuan.

To achieve these goals, Baiyun will utilize its geographical advantages and reformed policies to develop a high-end mass consumer goods manufacturing industry led by the food and beverage industry, the new energy intelligent manufacturing industry, the aluminum deep processing industry, the engineering and other advanced equipment manufacturing industries, the electronic information industry, and new building materials industry.

Baiyun also plans to boost the construction and improvement of logistics parks as well as other industrial supporting facilities.

Maijia and Shatian areas will be the two main industrial clusters in the jurisdiction of Baiyun.
