The total industrial output of Baiyun district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, is projected to reach 50 billion yuan ($7.50 billion) in 2025.
This was announced at the Tenth CPC Baiyun District Congress, which was held on Oct 23-26 and set development goals for the next five years.
By 2025, industrial investment in Baiyun is expected to reach 42 billion yuan, and the number of industrial enterprises above designated size will reach 180.
Meanwhile, Baiyun will introduce standard factories covering an area of 1.15 million square meters and reserve 3,000 mu (200 hectares) of industrial use land.
Baiyun will make every effort to increase the proportion of industrial added value in regional GDP, the proportion of manufacturing and high-tech manufacturing in industries above designated size so as to increase industrial efficiency.
In doing so, Baiyun will continue to expand the mid-to-high-end mass consumer goods manufacturing industry led by beverages and food, and accelerate the development of the new energy intelligent manufacturing industry in the Maijia area.
It will also strengthen the development of the aluminum intensive processing industry and accelerate the development of advanced equipment manufacturing such as the engine and electronic information industries in the Shawen area.
In the Shatian area, Baiyun will gradually improve industrial supporting facilities for new building materials and logistics industrial parks.
