Upgraded Baiyun schools get ready for new semester

The renovation and upgrading of 15 schools and kindergartens in the jurisdiction of Baiyun district -- in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province -- are now reportedly near completion.

The revamp projects involved six kindergartens, six primary schools and three middle schools.

Among them are Dalin Kindergarten, Hongjin Primary School, Jianpo Primary School and the No 8 Baiyun Middle School.

A total of 28 million yuan ($4.32 million) was invested to upgrade the educational service facilities of the schools.

The renovated and upgraded schools are expected to be ready for use before the beginning of the autumn semester.
