Stunning cherry blossom garden wows visitors in Baiyun

The cherry blossom garden in Yihe Shilong ecological park opened to the public free of charge on March 13, attracting hordes of visitors, according to local media reports.

The ecological park is located in Shilong village, Niuchang township of Baiyun district in Guiyang, the capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province.

A seminar on rural revitalization was held on the same day, with around 100 participants, including experts from the Guizhou Academy of Agricultural Sciences and Guizhou University, as well as company representatives.

Participating experts and scholars discussed topics such as the construction of the new special-quality seedlings display base, the promotion and application of good agricultural varieties, rural courtyard design, cherry-blossom-viewing culture and cherry blossom photography techniques.

Visitors also participated in activities including bamboo pole dances, tree-planting, a cherry blossom photography competition and handicraft production.

The Yihe Shilong ecological park covers an area of 680 mu (45.33 hectares) and is 30 kilometers away from downtown Guiyang. It is a comprehensive, mountainous ecological park integrating agricultural industrialization, leisure and sightseeing.

The cherry blossom garden in the park covers an area of more than 300 mu, with more than 20 varieties. Visitors can view blossoms of different colors until May.
