All 71 industrial enterprises above designated size – meaning they have annual revenue of 20 million yuan ($3.07 million) or more – have resumed work and production in Baiyun district in Guiyang, the capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province.
Before the Spring Festival, which fell on Feb 9 this year, Baiyun district launched measures to encourage employees to spend the holiday locally and called on enterprises to increase yields and efficiency.
During the holiday, the district provided enterprises with comprehensive services and preferential policies related to electricity, rewards and transportation allowances, ensuring stable production.
Officials also visited companies after the holiday to learn about companies' safe production conditions and solve difficulties and problems related to production and work resumption.
Guiyang Wahaha Changsheng Beverage, a company based in Baiyun's economic development zone, didn't halt production during the Spring Festival holiday.
The company encouraged employees to stay put during the holiday and realized an output increase of 50 percent over the same period last year. According to the company's general manager, in 2021, the company aims to achieve an annual output value of 1.2 billion yuan.
