The fifth congress of Baiyun district's federation of literature and art circles was held on Dec 30, 2020, in the district in Guiyang, the capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province.
More than 100 representatives participated in the event, including those from the dancers' association, the writers' association, the calligraphers' association and other groups.
They reviewed and summarized the development of Baiyun district's cultural and art sectors in recent years and made plans for future growth.
Xu Shuang, vice chairwoman of Guiyang's federation of literature and art circles, affirmed the remarkable achievements made in developing Baiyun district's cultural and art sectors in recent years. She also expressed her hope that literary and art workers in the district would adhere to a people-oriented approach and enrich residents' spiritual and cultural lives.
According to the congress, literary and art workers in the district will improve service capabilities and increase the vitality of innovation and creativity, creating more artwork featuring Baiyun's characteristics.
The fifth committee and the new leadership of Baiyun district's federation of literature and art circles were also selected at the congress.
