The market regulation bureau and the health bureau of Baiyun district in Guiyang -- capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province -- recently carried out joint inspection on the sterilization of the current cold chain transport environment.
The bureaus checked three companies involved in imported frozen food, to gauge disinfection procedures, body temperature monitoring, nucleic acid testing and sterilization of frozen food and its packaging.
The bureaus urged the companies to clean and disinfect the internal and external packaging, storage areas, the production and processing equipment for imported frozen food, as well as to provide protection for employees.
Meanwhile, they instructed the companies to establish a system to trace frozen food and offered guidance on sterilization during production, loading and unloading, transport, storage and sales. To date, no violations were found.
