The district government of Baiyun district in Guiyang -- capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province -- and Zhongtian Urban Development Group Co signed a strategic agreement on Sept 18 to build a slew of top-quality schools there.

The agreement paves the way for primary and secondary schools to be built by Zhongtian with the support of the local governmental authorities, significantly boosting the district's educational sector.

Zhongtian won a reputation for building the first national green campus community in Southwest China.

The company has also led the way with excellent teaching facilities, high-quality faculty teams and high achievements in student learning.

Under the agreement, it will help Baiyun apply big data in education and upgrade the general quality of local education.

It would pave the way for the development of a holistic residential community that combines education, the environment, art and commerce for the locals.

A total of 12 schools -- comprising eight kindergartens, two primary schools and two secondary schools -- will be built up in Baiyun, covering a total floorspace of 4 million square meters.
