Guiyang city's Baiyun district -- in Guizhou province in Southwest China -- drew the focus of attention at the 10th Tourism Industry Development Conference held this November, according to district officials.
Baiyun district is famous for its Qicai Lake Park and Quanhu Park, which are known as the "urban garden" and the "urban water bar" of Guiyang.
Officials said that in addition, tourists are drawn to the new development of the integration of culture, tourism and business in Fanhuali town, the "city salon" of Guiyang.
In recent years, Baiyun district has vigorously promoted the construction of its regional tourism demonstration area to develop ecotourism, cultural tourism and rural tourism.
Officials added that Baiyun district actively promotes the integration of agricultural tourism, sports tourism, cultural tourism and business tourism -- to expand the tourist market and enrich tourism products.
They said that as a result, tourism productivity as well as the tourism economy has been greatly boosted in the district.
