The Affiliated Baiyun Hospital of Guizhou Medical University was established on January 1, 2011 and was officially put into operation on July 1, 2011. Approved by the Guizhou Provincial Health and Family Planning Commission as a non-profit public welfare 3A hospital, it integrates medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, first aid, prevention and health care, health management and rehabilitation. 

It is the district’s regional medical and health center. The hospital currently covers 66,101 square meters and has a building area of 95,764 square meters. There are 1,000 inpatient beds, 26 clinical departments, 13 medical technology departments, 30 wards, 17 first-level medical treatment subjects, and 26 secondary medical treatment subjects. 

It has 891 employees, including 48 with senior titles, 85 with secondary senior titles, 143 with intermediate titles, 14 with doctoral degrees, 87 with other graduate degrees, and 578 with a bachelor degree. The hospital employs 10members of the standing committee and 20 members of the specialized committees of the Chinese Medical Association, as well as 20 directors and deputy directors of the specialized committees of the Guizhou Medical Association. 

The hospital has a large number of key specialties including neurosurgery, neurology, orthopedics, hepatobiliary surgery, gastroenterology, nephrology, rheumatology, urology, respiratory medicine, cardiology, pain, intervention, obstetrics and gynecology, and ophthalmology.
