Guiyang expands links to more international cities

During the 13th Five-Year Plan period (2016-20), Guizhou's capital Guiyang has been devoted to expanding international exchanges and cooperation with more cities, said Mayor Chen Yan at the sixth session of the 14th Guiyang Municipal People's Congress.

To date, Guiyang has signed friendship and cooperation memoranda with nine international cities, and its friendship and sister cities total has increased from eight to 17.

Guiyang has established six overseas offices for commercial representatives in Germany, France, Italy, India, Japan and East Africa, as well as five overseas culture and tourism promotion centers in Macao, Kuala Lumpur, Sydney, Moscow and Frankfurt.

It also established five overseas innovation centers in Silicon Valley in the US, as well as the cities of Moscow, Tel Aviv, Sydney and Tokyo. Guiyang has also opened one talent recruitment workshop in Germany and one overseas chamber of commerce in the United Arab Emirates.
